Princess Cruises runs kids’ programs for children aged from 3 – 17 years. The Princess Pelican Program is for kids’ aged 3 – 7, with kid’s dance parties, cartoons, ice cream parties and art projects. Children 8 – 12 years can have fun with Playstation’s and Wii’s, karaoke, Jr. CHEF@Sea and sports, at Shockwaves. Teens are catered for up to the age of 17 at the Teen Lounge, with dance parties, late-night movies, sports, formal dinners, mocktail competitions and DJ workshops. Families are also assured to be comfortable in the specially designed adjoining staterooms and suites, and on each cruise parents can have two child-free dinners when the kid’s escape to their own special dinners.
P&O’s qualified staff run a great choice of awesome activities for kids of all ages, with a great mix of fun, educational and active entertainment. Turtle Cove is run for the 3 – 6 year olds, offering a great choice of toys, educational games and activities such as pyjama parties, arts and crafts and movie time. The 7 – 10 year olds are catered for at Shark Shack with scavenger hunts, ships tours, table tennis, kid’s dances, and movies. HQ is where the 11 – 14 year olds hang out, and HQ+ is for the 15 – 17 year olds. These kids have their own special lounge, sports competitions, dance parties, late-night movies and mocktail parties.
Royal Caribbean definitely has something for everyone. The Royal Babies program caters to babies from 6 – 18 months, and from 18 – 36 months your baby can join Royal Tots. Both these programs have interactive classes and enriching activities designed by Fisher-Price. The Aquanauts program looks after children aged 3 – 5 years, and 6 – 8 year olds can join in the fun with the Explorers program. Voyagers, the club for 9 – 11 year olds, puts the “cool” back into learning, and the Tween and Teen programs offer teens-only games, sports and parties. And if that isn’t enough, your children can also meet their favourite DreamWorks characters, such as Shrek, Donkey and Po.
Carnival Cruises have the whole family covered, with tons of activities for adults as well as supervised activities for kids. Their kids’ programs include Camp Carnival for 2 – 11 year olds; Circle “C” for 12 – 14 year olds and Club O2 for 15 – 17 year olds. These programs run age-appropriate activities, like story time for the toddlers; talent shows and spin art for the older Camp Carnival kids; video games and swim parties for Club “C” and dance parties and sports tournaments for the teenagers. Norwegian Cruise Line runs a Kids’ Club for children aged 2 – 12 years old, as well as a Teen Club for 13 -17 year olds. They have partnered up exclusively with Nickelodeon, to offer events designed to encourage the whole family to explore, play and imagine together. There is loads of fun for the family to have together – they have bowling alleys, plunging waterslides, a sports deck, a two-story Wii Wall, a video games arcade, darts, pool, and foosball. And, the family-friendly accommodation includes interconnecting staterooms and multi-room suites, so you won’t need to cram the whole family into one room.
Costa Cruises have four separate kids’ programs, covering teenagers up to the age of 19. They also offer late-night babysitting until 1.30am. Their kids’ programs offer great activities such as pizza parties, pirate treasure hunts, face painting and even Italian language lessons. They also offer activities for the whole family to enjoy together, such as karaoke, bingo and talent shows.
MSC Cruises has programs for kids' from 3 - 17 years old. The Mini Club is for children aged 3 – 6 years, giving them plenty of space for running, exploring, swimming and playing. The Junior Club, for children aged 7 – 12 years, offers dedicated activities, sports, parties and game shows for these kids. The Teens Club, for the over 13’s, has specialised entertainers, talent shows, trivia, and even Teen parties in the evenings. Teens from the ages of 12 – 17 can also be given a Teen’s Card, which enables them to spend small sums of money onboard. There is also plenty for the whole family to do, such as mini bowling, 4D cinema, Aqua Park, play tennis, squash or basketball, shuffleboard, and much more.
